LA Makes Carter Trade

The Los Angeles Kings have announced today that they have acquired Chris Kunitz, Simon Despres, and Olli Määtta in exchange for the Stanley Cup winning center. Kings GM Nick on the stunning trade: "this trade was very difficult to do but we feel that chris has enough left in the tank to provide us a strong output at center on our second line, and we feel that Simon and Olli can develop into something good defensively." Even though there is word spreading that the Kings do not want to keep Määtta and Despres, the newly hired Kings GM has said that the Los Angeles Kings are "satisfied with how the team is shaping at the moment and are no longer looking to make any major moves." Will the Kings keep Määtta and Despres? Only time will tell.....
